In 1973, he graduated from NMU with a Bachelor of Science degree and obtained additional credits from Central Michigan University during the summers of 1977 and 1978. From 1973 through 2003, he taught elementary and secondary art at Atlanta Community School. He has been a lifelong artist concentrating on woodcarving.

“I presently reside on a farm near Onaway with my wife Peggy who I’ve been married to for 54 years,” Nash said in his bio. “I also enjoy my other roles as father, grandfather and great grandfather. I have been keeping myself very busy during retirement, filling orders for woodcarvings.”
