John Neal TUCKER

TUCKER, John Neal, 76, of Alpena, died Saturday, March 4, 2023. John is survived by his wife, Judy, his children, Michael (Lily), Amanda Evans, and Christina Walters, his sister, Jerrilyn Tucker, eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Denyse, Ryan, Rachel, Kelsy, Patrick, Cheyenne, and Susan, and four great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at McWilliams Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Allen officiating. Kevin E. Bartsch age 64 of Rogers City passed away March 1, 2023 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. He was born Feb. 3, 1959 in Dearborn to Erwin “Duck” and Helen (Kus) Bartsch. Kevin is survived by his wife, Pam; two sisters, Barb Fritz of Howell and Denise (Clint) Cunningham of Grand Blanc; and his four-legged companion, Ginger. Arthur Leonard Burns, 86, of Alpena, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. He was a loving, caring, and kind husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be missed dearly. Arthur was born on Feb. 4, 1937 to the late Frank and Florence (Murray) Burns in Lachine, Michigan. He was in the United States Army where he was proud to have served his country. On Sept. 10, 1960 he married the love of his life Doris (O’Neil) at Long Rapids Congregational Church in Long Rapids. Shirley Haken, 82, of Ossineke passed away at home Feb. 24, 2023. Shirley was born Dec. 8, 1940 at home in Maple Ridge Township to the late Elwood and Hazel (Carriveau) Monnette. She later married Donald Haken on July 28, 1973 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena. She was a competitive person who enjoyed playing card games, and puzzles. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, picking strawberries, and country music – especially Loretta Lynn. Robert W. Probst, 87, of Hubbard Lake, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2023 at his daughter’s home in Lincoln. Born June 21, 1935, to Adolph and Ella (Nemis) Probst in Detroit, Michigan, he was raised there. Bob served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. On Oct. 20, 1956, he married Lorraine Baginski in Detroit. They were residents of Dearborn Heights and Warren. Bob was an engineer with Chrysler Motors. On March 1, 2023, Virginia “Ginger” Lyn Shultz, 77, of Alpena was surrounded by the comfort of her immediate family when she passed away after a short, yet courageous battle with cancer.
