EVELYN ROZELLE (KUMMETH) SEFTON

Evelyn Rozelle (Kummeth) Sefton made her heavenly journey on May 16, 2023. She was born on November 4, 1936 in Britton, South Dakota to George and Sabina Kummeth. Growing up in Minnesota, she graduated from Owatonna High School in 1954. She then earned her nursing degree in 1958 from St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing in Mason City, Iowa. Taking a chance on a blind date, Evelyn met and subsequently married the love of her life, Paul Sefton on June 27, 1959. Mr. James “Jim” Lee Shepherd, 83 of Lachine, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at his home on the early morning of May 17, 2023. He was welcomed into Heaven with open arms after a long wait from his wife, Evelyn and son, Donnie. Jim was born in Hillman, Michigan on Feb. 5, 1940 to the late Fred and Alice (James) Shepherd. Born on June 10, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, Ralph was the cherished son of the late Lawrence and Hazel (Patterson) Stewart. Roy Eugene “Paw” Klotz age 90 of Hillman joined his wife, Shirley in Heaven on Thursday, May 18, 2023 and what a wonderful reunion it was. He was born July 8, 1932 in Lansing to Roy and Genevie (Binger) Klotz. Roy and Shirley moved their family of five children to Hillman from Pinckney in 1971. During Roy’s lifetime, he was a farmer, a builder, a truck driver, owner of R and S Fun Foods, making and serving Elephant Ears and other snacks all over Northern Michigan, and part owner of R and S Sawmill, and the job he truly loved, driving a school bus. The youngest daughter of Edgar and Eleanor (Paull) Rambadt, Beatrice was born Aug. 2, 1923, on the Rambadt family farm in Belknap Township, six miles southwest of Rogers City, Michigan.
