RALPH W. STEWART
Ralph W. Stewart, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023, in Spruce, Michigan. Born on June 10, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, Ralph was the cherished son of the late Lawrence and Hazel (Patterson) Stewart. Throughout his life, Ralph was a wise, loving, and thoughtful man who touched the lives of many around him.
Ralph is survived by his children, Carrie (Paul) Spiegelmyre and Toni Stewart. He was a proud grandfather to many, many grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life. Ralph’s family remained at the center of his heart, and he was always there to provide support, guidance, and love.
During his early years, Ralph served his country as an engineer in the Navy during the Vietnam War. His dedication and service to his country were a true testament to his character. Ralph was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he continued to support and advocate for his fellow veterans.
Ralph’s love for music was evident throughout his life. He was a talented singer, and in the 1960s, he was a member of a rock band that brought joy and excitement to many. His passion for music continued throughout his life, and he often shared this love with his family and friends.
An avid outdoorsman, Ralph enjoyed spending time in nature, whether it was riding horses, fishing, or exploring the open road on his motorcycle. He had a deep appreciation for the beauty and serenity of the outdoors and shared this passion with those around him.
Ralph’s life was also marked by his commitment to helping others. As an active member and sponsor of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), he provided support and encouragement to those in need. Ralph’s wisdom, compassion, and strength served as an inspiration to many who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
Per his wishes, Ralph has been taking for cremation with no services plan at this time. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
