Alpena players honored by Big North Conference

ALPENA — Several members of the Alpena High girls basketball team were recently honored by the Big North Conference for the 2022-23 season.

Alpena junior Reese Wisniewski earned second team honors and junior Avery Dubey, sophomores Kiera Prue and Faith Dragiewicz all earned honorable mentions.

Gaylord junior and conference player of the year Avery Parker headlined the first team along with Petoskey’s Caroline Guy and Grayson Guy and Traverse City Central’s Catelyn Heethuis and Lucia France.

Wisniewski was joined on the second team by Gaylord’s Alexis Kozlowski and Meghan Keen, Cadillac’s Joslyn Seeley, Petoskey’s Kenzie Bromley and Traverse City West’s Mikayla Thompson.
