Judges show us their biases on immigration

Dear editor:

I think our forefathers goofed when they made federal judges the right to rule. As you know they are appointed and not elected! The ambiguity and biased rulings of some is disgraceful like this recent ruling on the border. About 10 years ago, a California proposal was passed overwhelmingly by the voters that no tax money of any kind shall be spent on illegal aliens. A federal judge ruled that proposal unconstitutional because the Constitution states that only the federal government shall decide on immigration. OK, I have no problem with that as the law is the law.

So now that one brave patriot governor of Texas put his foot down and decided that if Washington will not back and enforce its own laws that is the duty of the governor to enforce those laws and protect the people of Texas.

Now some federal judge is telling him that he is wrong. Did the law change since the California proposal? It shows you the biased thinking of these judges.

Why are these walk-in alien criminals treated with royalty or like lost sheep?

That murder of Laken Hope Riley, 22, of Georgia, was completely avoidable if the judicial system did its job. President Dwight Eisenhower deported many illegals because he wanted the troops in Korea to have jobs when they got back home. Trump is promising massive deportations of all the law-breaking ones. Fine, but the problem is they are all law-breaking with a felony record the minute they cross the border without any authorization. The liberals are crying of the millions it may cost with the deportations, but, however, ignore the cost in billions to retain them!

Sincerely,

ROBERT J. COLARUSSO,
