Gotta love the spin of American politicians

I was recently traveling when I saw this filling station with cars lined up around it. Gas was selling for $2.39 a gallon in that neighborhood and their price was $2.79 a gallon. So, I talked to the owners and asked why they were getting all the business. They just smiled and said take a look at the sign out in front.

I went out to take a better look. A large sign simply read, “Big Gallon of Gasoline $2.79.”

Leaders in the United States Senate are now spinning the same kind of story. You might buy into an “unfair” Justice Department regarding Steve Bannon just as if you are willing to buy into a “Big Gallon of Gasoline $2.79.”

A “Big Gallon” in itself is incorrect — the gallon being a measure of size. It is neither big nor small. An “unfair” Justice Department inquiry in itself is incorrect — a Justice Department inquiry determines what is legal and fair. The “unfair” Justice Department inquiry then becomes an “unfair” fairness hearing that hasn’t even begun yet? Defying efforts of the United States Congress, the United States Justice Department and human, common sense logic all in one fell swoop.

Listen very carefully to what our politicians are saying right in their opening statements. Many of our leaders start with false suppositions and often contradict themselves right in their opening statements in trying to promote their own, aggressive, private personal political agendas.
