The News needs a different source than the AP

Regarding the article ‘Some local GOP leaders fire up base with conspiracies and lies’ in the Alpena News dated 2/27/21, an observation. The article claims that ‘the AP, working with an artificial intelligence community helped build a classification algorithm that matched officials to accounts on the right-wing aligned Parler. AP reporters hand verified each match using an archived Parler dataset…containing 13 million user profiles and 183 million posts between August 2018 and Jan. 10, 2021 when Parler was taken offline’. This is amazing. Kudos to the AP. I can only guess that the amount of time that this took to accomplish left no time whatsoever to conduct the same research to other, more left leaning social media sites. Also mentioned in the same article ‘Although some Democrats have also used incendiary and aggressive language online, AP focused its research on the GOP because court documents show the overwhelmingly number of people arrested in association with the Capitol insurrection are longtime supporters of Trump’…The ‘insurrection’ at the Capital lasted less than 24 hours. Would the AP please dispatch a reporter to Portland, Seattle and Minneapolis where the insurrection at federal buildings has been ongoing for the better part of a year. Please consider a different news wire source. The AP does not cover news. They write opinion pieces.
