Alpena News chooses its sources to inform, not to please
The recent letter from Presque Isle complaining about your paper’s use of The Associated Press is something I was surprised to read.
The recent social and political divide in our country is mainly the result of citizens who consume news and opinions that align with their lifestyle, beliefs, traditions and political views and avoid those that conflict in any way.
I would suspect that after 122 years The Alpena News has no plans of publishing content from sources with an obvious agenda to please readers rather than inform them.
