Lead on News story perpetuates divisiveness
The beginning to the article about students at the high school being required to wear a mask is, “Many students this year at Alpena High School will likely be upset, as they will be forced to wear face masks when classes resume.”
Why would you start an article like this?
As a journalist, your job is to provide an objective resource for news in the area. Instead, you bring in your own opinion on how you think people will react to this, and therefore producing that reaction.
It’s grossly irresponsible and frankly, not good reporting.
