Thanks to clerks, election workers for primary
With the March 10, 2020 presidential primary election behind us, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all local clerks and election workers for their efforts that ensured the election was conducted with the highest degree of patience and professionalism. It was a challenge, preparing and executing a high-profile election with new laws and mandates with limited time and resources.
Faced with this challenge, you and your workers performed admirably, dealing with foreseen and unforeseen circumstances, meeting voter needs and upholding Michigan’s tradition of well-run elections.
I am aware of the countless hours that you devote to preserving Michigan’s record of election efficiency and integrity. You and your election workers demonstrated beyond a doubt that your overriding concern was for the best interest of Michigan voters. I know they share the respect and gratitude that I have for you.
It’s an honor to work alongside each of you to ensure our elections are accessible and secure. Again, accept my sincerest thanks for a job well done! “THANK YOU” to all our election workers.
