I would like to add my voice to the chorus of Alpena residents who support the rnewal of millage of the Alpena public library. The library is a unique resource for the people of the region, with a wide range of services at a modest cost to all of us! It not only attracts large audiences, but it also offers a variety of services online, and it very successfully preserves and shares with all of us our rich cultural, industrial, and maritime history.

Significant library improvement and growth in the next years are entirely dependent on our financial support. I urge you to join us and vote YES for a 20-year renewal of the current 0.25-mill levy, which is scheduled to expire this year.

This does not represent a cost increase, but only an extension of the present, very modest support!
