Redistribute shutdown pain in right way
Leonard Pitts had the right idea about the redistribution of pain the next time the government shuts down. But, by asking TSA workers to refuse to work, he has targeted middle class workers and travelers.
Why not share the pain by suspending congressional benefits, pay and travel until a true budget bill is passed? It is the job of the House of Representatives and Senate to pass a budget bill in a timely manner. Their tactics of delay and continuing resolutions shows their failure to do their job.
