Dear folks who are single on Valentine’s Day

Do not feel sad or defeated this Valentine’s Day just because you do not have a romantic partner to share this Hallmark holiday with. Do not feel envy when you see happy couples posting on social media about their romantic gifts or outinings.

Instead, feel proud and hopeful that you haven’t settled, yet, for anyone less than the perfect person you were truly meant to be with. Have hope that, one day, you WILL find the person you were meant to be with and hold out until you do.

Hold out for that one person that will completely understand you and make you feel complete. Hold out for that person that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated. Hold out for that person that you have no doubts will make you happy for the rest of your life.

In the meantime, be strong and independent while learning more about yourself as an individual. Know that you do not need a romantic partner to define who you are.

You define yourself. So use this chance not to celebrate this holiday romantically, but with the love of friendship, family and life.
