Several weeks ago, The News relaunched its long-dormant Outdoors page, and we asked you, dear readers, to share with us photos and stories of your outdoor adventures.

You haven’t disappointed.

Week after week, we’ve been able to run images of youngsters and young-at-heart-sters with their bucks and ducks and other game they’ve taken as part of the great tradition of hunting in Northeast Michigan.

Part of a newspaper’s job is to chronicle its community for the history books, showing future historians what life was like for the regular folk who lived in its community.

You, through your generous sharing, have helped us accomplish that mission.

Keep ’em coming.

The photos and stories you share need not be only of hunting and fishing. Maybe you’ve got a great camping photo, or a shot of your grandkid on their mountain bike or hiking. Maybe just a shot of you out on Lake Huron or skiing on Hubbard Lake.

And they need not only be photos. Maybe you’ve got a great tale about the time you were chased by a bear or memories of great hikes at Ocqueoc Falls.
