Kathy Sheldon

SHLEDON, Kathy, 65, of Alpena, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Kathy is survived by her children, Jason, Stacy (Mike) Amlotte, Donald, Robert (Morgan), Jesse, Kyle, her sister, Linda (Ron) Suszek, and four grandchildren. Kathy is at McWilliams Funeral Home where visiting hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. A full obituary will appear in a future edition of The Alpena News.

SUSZEK, Gladys C., 84, of Alpena, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, at The Lodge at Taylor Nursing Home in Taylor Michigan. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Bannan Funeral Home in a future edition of The Alpena News.

TEWS, Arvella ‘Val’, 95, of Alpena, died on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at MediLodge of Alpena. She is survived by five sons, Frederick (Glenda), Thomas, Daniel (Ann), Ronald (Patti), and Douglas (Pat), 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Rose Kipifmiller. Val has been taken for cremation from Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home.

MILLARD ALLEN

Millard Allen, 73, of Alpena passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at MediLodge of Alpena. Millard was born May 11, 1949, to the late Alfred and Leona (McKenzie) Allen. He was a lifelong resident of the area other than his time serving in the Navy during Vietnam. He worked in the woods cutting pulpwood and did lawn care for many years. Millard was an animal lover who loved to tell a good joke and was known to indulge in a prank or two. Mr. David Bruce Beller, 62 of Lachine, Michigan died suddenly on Aug. 21, 2022 at his home. He was born on June 24, 1960 to the late Dale and Marilyn Beller. He has resided in Lachine since 1999. David owned and operated a trucking company and drove truck for a living. He enjoyed working on cars and fixing everyone’s things but his own. Patrick Edward Bendig, 85, of Alpena was peacefully called home into the presence of his loving Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022. Pat was born March 14, 1937, in Lincoln, Michigan. On July 3, 1954, he married his love, Shirley Orban in Harrisville, Michigan. Pat enjoyed working on cars, farming, John Deere tractors, and collected motorcycles and coins in his earlier days. He loved his job at Huron Portland Cement/National Gypsum/LaFarge where he worked for over 50 years before retiring.
