WILLARD KEITH RATHJEN SR

Willard Keith Rathjen Sr., 94, of Alpena, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022 at Sally’s Care Home. He was a kind, caring, and compassionate father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Willard was born on May 18, 1928 to the late Albert and Alvena (Schiesser) in Nichols, Iowa. When Willard was 20 he entered the United States Air Force where he served his country for many years, including two years in Vietnam, until his retirement in 1968. Doris Dorothy Wudcoski, 89, of Alpena passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at MediLodge of Alpena. Doris Dorothy Suszek was born on June 23, 1933, in Alpena to the late Theodore and Mildred (Morton) Suszek. On Sept. 1, 1952, she married Frank Wudcoski. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2013. Together they owned Frank and Son Ice Company and later Frank and Son Forest Products. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. BOYD, Richard Gary, 80, died at his home in Rogers City on Oct. 7, 2022. He will be missed by his wife Jerri Lynn Boyd of 31 years. Richard is also survived by his brothers, Ronald, David, and Donald along with sister Debra Boyd King; a brother in law, Ron DeLong; five children Raymond, Brenda Tithof, Randy, Richard Jr, Barb Metcalf, three stepchildren, Jerilyn, Jason Centala and Nancy Grybaskas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews. BRUNING, Mark L., 82 of Rogers Township, died Nov. 22, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Mark is survived by his wife, Donna; five children, Jenny (Brian) Peacock, Tammy LaRoche, Marie (Troy) Elowsky, Kenneth (Janine Elliott) and Brandi (Lucas) LaCross; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Timothy (Carolyn). GUNDERMAN, Laura, 50, of Alpena, died November 24, 2022. She is survived by her brother Ronald (Judy) of Alpena, and her sister, Elizabeth Miller of Midland.
