James Anton Spinler, 77, of Hubbard Lake, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at Sally’s Care Home. Born on Oct. 20, 1945, in Owatonna, Minnesota to the late Anton and Kathleen (Kolman) Spinler. Jim served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from Abitibi. On Nov. 11, 1995, he married Barbara Timm. She preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 2022. Kenneth Gordon Shay, 86, of Alpena passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena, surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth Gordon Shay was born in Flint on March 19, 1936, to the late Kin and Eva (Tabor) Shay. He married the love of his life, Beatrice Modrzyski on May 4, 1956. She preceded him in death on Nov. 28, 2003. Ken served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Mulvena Truck Lines after 30 years of driving truck. John Steven Marzean, 62, of Posen passed away unexpectedly Nov. 17, 2022. John was born Oct. 4, 1960, in Alpena to Marie K. (Baker) and John R. Marzean.
