BICKSLER, Betty, 97, of Hillman, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, at Hillman Haven. Surviving are her son, Steven; daughter-in-law, Linda Bicksler; and five grandchildren. Cremation has taken place by Bannan Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Leaf River, Illinois in the spring.

Linda Jane Kuffert, 81, of Hubbard Lake was welcomed by Jesus in heaven on Nov. 26, 2022. Linda was born Sept. 19, 1941 to the late Curtis and Ruth (Oermann) Thomas in York, Pennsylvania. Linda loved to teach, having served as an elementary school teacher in several Lutheran schools for over 20 years. She was a faithful Christian who loved studying the Bible and sharing her faith with others. Her fervent desire was for everyone to receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus. Duane F. Meyers, 80, of Rogers City, passed away Nov. 25, 2022. Duane was born July 10, 1942, in Alpena to the late Fred and Jennie (Cole) Meyers. Duane loved to stay busy, always tinkering on things in the basement or the garage. He could fix just about anything. Duane loved being outdoors, especially out to camp where he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Hattie Sheppler, 97, of Alpena passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2022. Hattie was born Oct. 28, 1925 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Karl and Martha (Bolenz) Bock. Hattie had an older brother Chuck and two younger brothers Walt and Eric Bock. Hattie was the sole surviving member of her sibling family. Hattie was preceded in death by her husband Richard Sheppler who died March 14, 1997. She is survived by her brother Ron (Judy) Gunderman of Alpena, and her twin sister, Elizabeth Gunderman Miller of Midland.
