PAUL C. KORTIER

Paul C. Kortier, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023. Paul Carl Kortier was born in Flat Rock on July 23, 1929, to the late Omer and Florence (Bruskotter) Kortier. On Sept. 15, 1954, he married Cecile L. Tortorelli. Paul was proud to serve 35 years in the Military, US Army (two years), the Air National Guard (33 years). He was also a truck driver for 35 years, a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Dolphine (Dolly) Piper, age 92, of Alpena, died peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 at My Michigan Medical Center Midland. Dolly was born March 28, 1931 to the late Stanley and Natalie (Krawczak) Greskowiak in Toledo, OH. She married James F. Piper on Sept. 11, 1954. Dolly is survived by her husband, James, her daughter Elizabeth Piper, a sister Doris Greskowiak, and several nieces and nephews. Randy Edwin Hatch, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023. He was born on Jan. 6, 1955, to the late Edwin and Dorothy (Lay) Hatch. Randy was a friendly, interesting, and thoughtful man who touched the lives of many throughout his 68 years. A proud graduate of Alpena High School, Randy was a talented painter by trade.
