LINDA KAY KAMYSZEK
Linda Kay Kamyszek, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on May 1, 2023, in Alpena, Michigan.
Born on Oct. 14, 1962, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The daughter of Alfonse and Margaret Kamyszek, Linda grew up in a close-knit family alongside her siblings, Randy Kamyszek, Theresa (Bill) Straley, Beverly (Brian) Kienzle, and Shirley (Jeff) Diemond. Throughout her life, Linda’s family was her rock and support, and she cherished the time spent with her parents during their weekend visits.
She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Angela Kamyszek, Adam Kamyszek, Matthew Straley, Melissa Straley (Steve Kensa), Rebecca (Adam) Keyes, Jamie Belanger, Nick (Angie) Belanger, Kristyn Belanger, Wayne (Jeannie) Belanger, Danielle (David) Cole, Amanda Robinson (Tom Newman), Maggie Palmer, and Caitlin (Steven) Wade, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her nephew, Andrew Kamyszek, whom she held dear in her heart. Linda had a passion for the simple things in life, finding joy in playing cards, shopping, and taking leisurely nature walks. She had an undeniable love for children and animals. Her favorite indulgence was a classic burger and fries, which she enjoyed in the company of her loved ones which included her special friend Don.
Linda’s gentle spirit and kind heart were evident in her everyday interactions. In her free time, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was a casual get-together or a special occasion. She loved watching her nieces and nephews grow up and took pride in their accomplishments. Linda’s presence at family gatherings was a source of comfort and happiness for all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle nature will be greatly missed.
Linda is at McWilliams Funeral Home where family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church from 10a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Huron Humane Society. Mass will be live streamed from her obit at mcwilliamsfh.com
