Thomas Charles Macklem, 75, of Ossineke died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at his home.
Thomas was born Nov. 23, 1949, in Sheridan, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Lillian (Schultz) Macklem. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1967 – 1970 and retired as a truck driver for Koenig. Thomas moved north to Ossineke in 2001. He married the love of his life, Marion Januchowski, on July 4, 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; son, Thomas (Christine) Macklem Jr.; two stepsons, Jeff (Jayne) Carriveau, PJ (Kathy) Carriveau; two stepdaughters, Theresa Kujawski, Kimberly (Ron) Townsend; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Flippo, Bette (Jim) Stogdill; sister-in-law, Dee Macklem; and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Scott Kujawski, Sr.; siblings, Robert Macklem, Lloyd (Bud) Macklem; and brother-in-law, Ernie Flippo.
Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at Bannan Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 4 p.m. with Deacon Michael Roy officiating. Military honors will be accorded him Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
