In the singles matches, Zach Cloft at two singles won 6-3, 6-3. Cloft highlighted the importance of practice and consistency that helped him achieve the win.

“My goal every match is to play better than I did last time, even if it’s just by one game,” Cloft said. “I am consistently trying to reach new heights in my game. I do this by practicing every day and trying to listen to as much constructive advice as I can.”

Cloft also noted that his coach, Charlie Giordano, had helped him adjust his serve, which has “dramatically” improved his game.

Dillan Gagnon, playing three singles, competed in a three-set match.

After winning the first set 6-0, he lost the second set 0-6, but secured the overall win with a 10-3 tiebreaker in the final set.

In doubles, Landen Gagnon and Nathan Pokorzynski, competing in 1 doubles, earned a 6-1, 6-2 win. Later, teaming with Austin DeRosia at three doubles, Landen Gagnon achieved another win with a score of 8-1.

The 4-double pairing of Owen Wiseman and Landon DiMarzo completed their match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Commenting on the team’s overall performance and future development, Cloft shared his thoughts on enhancing their skills.

“Something that I feel could definitely deepen our skill level is actually playing against each other more often,” Cloft said. “I think that prioritizing a positive mental attitude at all times could also help our games dramatically.”
