MyMichigan Health completes purchases of hospitals
MyMichigan Health, the Midland-based nonprofit that owns the Alpena hospital, announced on Thursday that it has successfully completed the purchase of Ascension Michigan’s locations in Saginaw, Tawas, and Standish. The acquisition includes Ascension St. Mary’s of Saginaw, Ascension St. Mary’s Towne Center, Ascension St. Joseph in Tawas, Ascension St. Mary’s of Standish, and all related sites of care and related physician practices of Ascension Medical Group.
As part of MyMichigan Health, Ascension St. Mary’s of Saginaw, a 268-bed acute care inpatient facility, has been renamed MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw; Ascension St. Mary’s Towne Center, an ambulatory surgery center, wound care center, emergency department and short stay unit facility, is now MyMichigan Medical Center Towne Centre; Ascension St. Joseph in Tawas, a 47-bed acute inpatient facility, has been renamed MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas, and Ascension St. Mary’s of Standish, a 25-bed critical access hospital and 29-bed skilled nursing facility, is now MyMichigan Medical Center Standish.
