Elowski back in court on Aug. 13
Michelle Elowski, a former Alpena attorney, is set to appear in court for a status conference on Aug. 13 in an embezzlement case, according to court officials.
Elowski is charged with two counts of common law fraud, one count of check fraud with non-sufficient funds over $500, one count of embezzlement by a trustee of $1,000 or more but less than $20,000, and one count of embezzlement by a trustee of $50,000 or more but less than $100,000.
Her case was moved from the 81st District Court to the 23rd Circuit Court after she waived her right to a preliminary examination, with a formal arraignment held on May 6.
