Wildcats girls tennis falls to 0-5

The Alpena High School girls tennis team fell to Bay City John Glenn by a score of 5-3 on Thursday in Bay City.

Coach Charlie Giordano said Audrey Decker at singles won 6-0, 6-0. At doubles, Naomi Ratz and Hannah Tracey won 6-4, 6-4 and Kaylie Hincka and Megan Brown won 6-4, 6-2.

The Wildcats fall to 0-5 with the loss.

SOFTBALL TOURNEY BRACKET SET

Rogers City will take on Posen at 4 p.m. May 28 and Hillman will take on Onaway at 5:45 p.m. the same day at Rogers City High School for the Division 4 district softball tournament, Rogers City announced.

Johannesburg-Lewiston has a bye that week and automatically advances to take on the winner of the Rogers City-Posen matchup at 10 a.m. June 1.

Atlanta has a first-week bye and will take on the winner of the Hillman-Onaway game at noon June 1.

The final game happens at 2 p.m. June 1.
