ALPENA — The Alpena County Facilities, Capital, and Strategic Planning Committee met for only about 20 minutes this morning and tabled a discussion on the future of the Alpena County Fairgrounds.

County Administrator Mary Catherine Hannah could not attend the meeting, which led the committee to push back an update and discussion on the fairgrounds.

Before adjourning, the committee voted to recommend to the full county Board of Commissioners that the duty of handling expenditure reimbursement requests for Northern Lights Arena go through the county Treasurer’s Office instead of the Administrator’s Office. The full board will vote at its next meeting on the matter.

Hannah’s last day working for the county is Thursday after she accepted an administrative job with Saginaw County.
