UPDATED: Tornado warning expires
ATLANTA — Northeast Michigan counties are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 7 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.
A tornado watch issued for northwestern Montmorency County and east central Otsego County expired at 4:30 p.m.
A tornado touched down in Otsego County around 4 p.m. today, causing downed trees and powerlines which blocked roadways and damaged multiple homes and businesses in the Gaylord area, according to Michigan State Police.
