Alpena man accused of sexual abuse of child
ALPENA — Police last month arrested an Alpena man on suspicion of sexually abusing a minor.
A November referral from Child Protective Services to troopers of the Michigan State Police-Alpena Post led to an investigation and the eventual arrest of Levi Braund, 31, of Alpena, in Kalkaska County.
A minor who disclosed the alleged sexual assault to a parent also said another member of his or her household was also a victim, according to police.
The News does not identify survivors of sexual assault without their consent.
Braund was arraigned on April 18 in Kalkaska County on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
