Montmorency County Inmates lodged in Alpena Jail: 11

Jan. 10

12:13 p.m.: A passerby called 911 to report a vehicle in the ditch in Briley Township, law enforcement along with Tri Township Fire and EMS all responded to the scene. No injuries were reported. All responders cleared without incident.

5:47 p.m.: A male subject came into the lobby at MCSO to report he had slid off the road in Hillman Township and taken down a stop sign, the Road Commission was notified.

Jan. 11

1:27 a.m.: A subject driving through Rust Township called 911 to report he almost hit a horse, the owner was notified and the neighbors came over to assist with putting the horses back in the fence.

7:57 a.m.: An officer was notified of a vehicle that had slid into the ditch in Briley Township, the officer responded to the scene. No one was injured and the deputy cleared without incident.

10:16 a.m.: A welfare check was requested on a resident of Hillman Township, a deputy responded to the scene. The subject was found to be fine, he had just slept in.

11:26 p.m.: A deputy responded to a vehicle deer accident on M-32 in Hillman Township; the driver and passengers were found to be fine and the officer took the report.

Jan. 14

3:01 a.m.: Deputies responded to a verbal dispute in Albert Township; upon arrival one of the subjects had left the scene. Deputies took a statement and cleared without incident.

8:52 a.m.: A welfare check was requested on a Montmorency Township resident, a deputy responded to the residence to find the subject to be fine, deputy cleared without incident.

Jan. 15

8:45 a.m.: While on routine patrol a deputy stopped to assist a motorist with a flat tire.

10:19 a.m.: A 911 hang up resulted in two deputies responded to a residence in Vienna Township; turned out to just be a verbal argument. Deputies cleared without incident.

1:21 p.m.: A two vehicle crash was reported in Avery Township; no injuries were reported. A deputy responded to take the report.

5:20 p.m.: A resident of Albert Township who was out of town called to request officers check his apartment as the neighbor said someone was inside; a deputy responded to the scene. No one was in the apartment upon the deputy’s arrival.

8:54 p.m.: A Deputy responded to a suspicious vehicle in Hillman Village; The driver was found to be currently living out of the vehicle and down on his luck; The officer advised the male subject about the shelter in Alpena and to seek out their services for assistance. Deputy cleared without incident.

10:19 p.m.: Hillman Fire Department along with law enforcement responded to a structure fire in Hillman Township; the fire was extinguished, no one was injured and all responders cleared without incident.

Jan. 16

9:20 p.m.: A call came into the dispatch center to report a deer vehicle accident on Rust Rd. in Rust Township: the party involved was uninjured. Dispatch and an officer took the report.
