Car hits tree on Ford Ave.

The Alpena Police Department and Alpena Fire Department responded to a one-car crash on Ford Avenue near the Lafarge Alpena Plant around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle skidded off of the roadway and ran into a tree, causing airbags to deploy. Paramedics checked the driver. It is not known if the driver was transported to the hospital.
