Free electronics recycling day planned in Presque Isle County

ROGERS CITY — Presque Isle County residents can clear their attics of old computers, televisions, and other electronic waste at an upcoming e-waste collection day, sponsored by Discover Northeast Michigan and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
Residents can drop off most computer-related products for free and televisions for a small charge between 2 and 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Rogers City Transfer Station.
Recyclable electronics accepted free at the event include desktop and laptop computers, keyboards and computer mice, most monitors, printers, scanners, gaming consoles, tablets, VCRs, and DVD players.
Residents can drop off cathode-ray tube monitors and televisions except rear-projection TVs for $5 each, cash only.
