Operated by Captain Dave Richmond and Chief Engineer Charles Ritter, the freighter arrived at the dock on Wednesday and left with 19,090 tons of limestone early Thursday morning. “This first load of limestone is going to Marine City, Michigan and will serve in various ongoing road construction projects in and around the Detroit metro area,” Plant Superintendent Tim Cordes said. Cordes said this trip is also the Manitowoc’s first trip of the season.
