Voters registered at Alpena Community College

News Photo by Darby Hinkley The League of Women Voters of Northeast Michigan registers voters at tables set up at Alpena Community College on Tuesday, National Voter Registration Day. Pictured, from left to right, are first-time voters and ACC students John Siegert, 20, and Brooke Male, 18. Seated are LWV of Northeast Michigan Co-President Doris Feyes, and LWV volunteer Griffin Smith. “Since this is my first time being able to vote, and especially for the presidential election, this was super convenient, being able to come out and register right here on campus,” Siegert said. “I think that it’s really important for people to have their voice in what’s going on, because the more you know, the more you’re informed, the more input you have, and less room to complain,” Male noted.
