ALPENA — Another Alpena County resident infected with COVID-19 has died, District Health Department No. 4 reported Thursday.

It is the 13th death of an infected Alpena County resident, and the 14th death of a Northeast Michigander. An Alcona County resident has also died.

Since mid-March, 111 Alpena County residents, 13 Presque Isle County residents, eight Montmorency County residents, and 20 Alcona County residents have been confirmed infected.

Thus far, 91 residents of Alpena County have recovered from COVID-19, as have 12 residents of Presque Isle County. The recovery total in Montmorency County is five, while, in Alcona County, 10 residents have overcome infections.
