ALPENA — Meijer is temporarily suspending bottle and can returns at all stores, including its Alpena store, amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The Grand Rapids-based retailer is also asking customers to refrain from shopping with reusable bags unless customers are using the Meijer Shop and Scan Service.
