Sept. 23
7:49 a.m.: A Briley Township resident called to report there was loud music at the Crooked Lake Beach, a MCSO deputy responded but no vehicles were at the beach.
9:23 a.m.: A concerned citizen called to report a tree across a road in Montmorency Township, the Road Commission was contacted.
10:23 a.m.: A vehicle/elk accident was reported at the lobby of the MCSO. An officer assessed the damage to the vehicle.
11:34 a.m.: A one vehicle accident was reported in Hillman Township; no injuries were reported. An MSP Trooper, Hillman Fire and Tri Township ambulance all responded, no one was transported to the hospital.
2:45 p.m.: An MSP Trooper was advised by the fugitive team that a suspect that had absconded from parole was in our county. The Trooper apprehended the suspect and took him into custody.
9:58 p.m.: Deputies and Lewiston Fire/EMS responded to a vehicle in the ditch on CR 612 in Albert Township. A male subject was transported to OMH.
Sept. 24
7:19 a.m.: A 2 vehicle accident in Hillman Township was reported. MSP Trooper responded and no injuries were reported.
10:45 a.m.: An ongoing civil dispute in Briley Township resulted in officers performing the second civil standby over property.
Sept. 25
11:30 a.m.: MCSO received a call about a verbal dispute in Briley Township. The parties separated prior to deputy arrival. A male subject was given a no trespassing warning.
1:18 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on M-32 traveling westbound toward Vienna Township. A deputy attempted to locate the vehicle described but was unable.
4:10 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a verbal dispute at a residence on M-32 in Briley Township. A deputy responded and the parties were separated.
11:03 p.m.: During a routine traffic stop in the Village of Hillman, a deputy took into custody a 26-year-old male with multiple MCSO warrants.
Sept. 26
7:03 a.m.: A deputy and MSP troopers responded to an assault in Avery Township. A 37-year-old male from Ionia was taken into custody for domestic assault and lodged.
11:33 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a suspicious vehicle in the Village of Hillman. A deputy responded but did not locate the vehicle described.
5:31 p.m.: A deputy took into custody a 45-year-old female on MCSO warrants. She was lodged.
8:44 p.m.: Deputies responded to Progress St in the Village of Hillman for a man out of control and a danger to others. A 58-year-old male was taken into custody for felonious assault. He was lodged.
Sept. 28
11:34 a.m.: A resident of Albert Township contacted MCSO to report destruction of his property and to report larceny of a boat motor, a deputy responded and spoke with the subject.
11:53 a.m.: Deputies responded to multiple parking issues in Briley Township during Elk Fest, all problems were resolved peacefully.
3:28 p.m.: A DNR officer while on routine patrol initiated a traffic stop in Briley Township, the driver was found to have a warrant out of another jurisdiction; the subject was lodged at MCSO for pickup.
9:44 p.m.: ATV traffic stop was made Lake 15 near Ryan Rd by Michigan DNR resulted in one male taken into custody for OWI.
11:12 p.m.: MCSO Deputies responded to a disturbance in the Village of Hillman resulting in one female taken into custody on bond violation and trespassing.
Sept. 29
1:41 p.m.: The Hillman Fire Department responded to Hillman Township for the report of smoke from an unknown location, fire department arrived to find a large pile on fire, it was put out and all cleared without incident.
4:30 p.m.: An erratic drive in Avery Township was called in to MCSO, a deputy responded, the vehicle was located but the deputy did not witness any erratic driving.
