DNR: Don’t eat deer from Oscoda Township marsh
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources on Wednesday reminded hunters not to eat deer taken within five miles of Clark’s Marsh in Oscoda Township because of contamination from perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, one of the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, that bioaccumulates in fish and wild game.
Archery season begins Oct. 1.
