July 9

9:15 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver traveling East on M-32 near Co Rd 491 in Vienna Township. A deputy in the area responded but was unable to locate the vehicle described.

9:27 p.m.: MCSO received a call about fireworks being set off. The caller was concerned about it being a fire hazard. A deputy drove through the area around Little Wolf Lake but was unable to locate and evidence of fireworks.

July 10

9:18 a.m.: Gaylord DNR notified us of a prescribed burn that was to take place in Otsego County on this day in case we got any calls in reference the smoke.

9:30 a.m.: A deputy responded to a dog at large complaint in Hillman Township, the owner of the dogs was advised to keep their dogs on their property, they agreed to do this.

11:20 a.m.: MCSO deputies went to a Rust Township residence to pick up a male subject on a valid FOC warrant out of Montmorency County, subject was transported and lodged.

12:59 p.m.: A MCSO deputy responded to the report of a large bale of hay in the road in Avery Township, deputy and a nearby resident moved hay out of roadway.

1:33 p.m.: A deputy transported a subject from Kalkaska County to MCSO jail on a valid Montmorency County warrant. Subject was lodged.

2:25 p.m.: A DNR CO responded to the report of a baby bear in the Village of Hillman that would not leave the area. Bear was unable to be located upon DNR arrival.

3:55 p.m.: 2 MCSO deputies responded to the report of in progress verbal dispute in Albert Township; deputies separated subjects and cleared without incident.

6:32 p.m.: MSCO deputy completed a warrant arrest in Hillman Township. One female was taken into custody without incident.

8:13p.m.: MSCO deputy completed a warrant arrest in Albert Township. One male was taken into custody without incident.

10:15 p.m.: Rust township resident called in car/deer accident on Cohoon Rd nearest intersection of Rust Rd. MCSO deputy responded and no injuries were reported.

10:20 p.m.: Report of a hit-n-run at Lewiston Hotel. A vehicle was struck by another vehicle with other vehicle leaving the scene. MCSO office responded and no injuries were reported. Ongoing investigation.

10:54 p.m.: Hillman Village resident reported a suspicious person walking down Veterans Memorial Highway. MCSO deputy responded, located the subject, and no charges were filed.

11:23 p.m.: Albert Township resident reported a pole across a powerline. Tri Township fire responded, and PIE&G was contacted to report outage.

11:40 p.m.: Hillman Village resident reported a transformer was on fire behind their home. Hillman Fire Dept responded fire was out and Alpena Power was contacted to report outage.

11:45 p.m.: Hillman Township resident called to report a transformer on fire on Rea Rd nearest cross of Behring Rd. Hillman Fire Dept responded fire was out and PIE&G was contacted for the power outage.

July 11

2:31 a.m.: Report of a tree blocking the road on McMurphy Rd. The road commission responded and removed tree.

7:39 a.m.: A concerned citizen in Briley Township requested a welfare check on a vacant vehicle with the keys in the ignition, a deputy responded and located the owner of the vehicle fishing in the nearby river, officer cleared without incident.

10:24 a.m.: Montmorency Township resident reported a trailer blocking part of the road on Edgar Rd. MCSO deputies responded and owner of the trailer was advised not to block roadway and given a verbal warning.

5:29 p.m.: Report in the MCSO lobby of vehicle at the Atlanta Senior Center was hit. Both parties were given a private property damage form to fill out.

10:37 p.m.: Albert Township resident called in noise complaint fireworks being shot off near Craig St in Lewiston.

11:05 p.m.: Hillman Township resident called in noise complaint fireworks being shot off. MSCO deputy in the area and could not locate or see any firework activity.

July 12

5:46 a.m.: Dispatch was notified of a 2-vehicle accident in the parking lot at the Sunrise Gas Station in Albert Township. No injuries were reported.

11:50 MCSO was advised of a verbal dispute in Hillman Township and the caller requested to speak with a deputy.
