Crews work on a resurfacing project on 2nd Avenue in downtown Alpena on Wednesday. The project, which began Wednesday, closed 2nd Avenue between Chisholm Street and Carter Street, causing headaches for motorists as traffic cluttered up downtown. The project is expected to be completed Friday.
