Fifth-grade students at Ella White Elementary participate in Drug Abuse Resistence Education graduation on Tuesday, led by Alpena DARE Officer Tim Marquardt, whose father, Alpena County DARE Officer Jim Marquardt, also participated in the program.

“If there’s any such thing as the godfather of Alpena DARE, you’re looking at him,” Tim Marquardt said as he introduced his dad.

Also during the program, Ella White Principal Melissa LaCombe told students, “Now that you’ve had the DARE lessons, you are fully equipped to make good choices.”
