Kindergartener Molly Willemin “plants” a blue pinwheel in front of Ella White Elementary School on Friday with her class, honoring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. She and classmates in Amanda Roznowski’s class participated in the pinwheel planting, along with some other Ella White classes. The Alpena and Presque Isle Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Team spoke to students to help them understand why they were putting the pinwheels in the ground. Each child was able to take a pinwheel home, as well.
