C. David Wright, MD, a board dertified family medicine physician with 32 years of experience, will begin seeing patients at the ARMC Medical Group Family Medicine Clinic located at 393 Long Rapids Rd. in August.

Wright received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed a family practice residency at Saginaw Co-op Hospitals (now Synergy Medical). Prior to coming ?to Alpena? to practice he was with the ?St. Joseph Health System’s Oscoda Health Park in Oscoda.

He is a former chief of staff at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital and ?in addition, ?provided locum tenens coverage at Rogers City Rehab hospital? for a number of years?. Wright is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

In fall of 2013, Wright and his wife, Karen, moved permanently to their second home on ?Lake Huron, near Presque Isle Harbor.?

“We have commuted 65 miles one way since then. By having a practice in Alpena, I can reduce my travel time by two hours per day and continue to care for patients,” Wright said. “I enjoy the variety of family medicine and also have a special interest in hospice work and end of life care.”

Wright has two search and rescue dogs that he works with on a daily bases.
