June 2

10:41 a.m. Tri-township and Hillman fire departments responded to a barn and grass fire in Briley Township; the crews were able to put the fire out.

1:47 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.

10:01 p.m. Deputies responded to a disturbance in Hillman Township. Upon arrival the deputies spoke with both parties in the residence and concluded nothing unlawful had happened.

June 3

4:13 p.m. Deputies responded to a disturbance in Loud Township; upon arrival they separated the parties and took the male half in custody for domestic assault. The subject was lodged in Alpena County Jail.

6:57 p.m. Deputies responded to a residence in the Village of Hillman for a dispute between a male and a female. The parties were separated and officers cleared at 7:21 p.m.

8:19 p.m. Dispatch received a call from a concerned citizen that a door to a business in downtown Atlanta was open after hours and no one was around. A deputy searched the business and nothing was out of place. There was no sign of forced entry. The officer locked the door and cleared at 8:40 p.m.

9:06 p.m. Michigan State Police troopers arrested a 41-year-old male from Atlanta on Montmorency County warrants; the subject was lodged at Alpena County Jail.

June 4

10:21 a.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; a report was taken.

6:30 p.m. Deputies responded to a disturbance in Briley Township; once on scene deputies found the parties had already separated for the night.

June 5

8:35 p.m. MCSO deputies stopped two male subjects at Lake Hiawatha. The males were issued a warning for no insurance on the vehicle and had an improper plate confiscated from the vehicle. The information was transferred to DNR for the males fishing without licenses.

8:38 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken.

June 6

11:54 a.m. A deputy responded to a report of someone camping on private property in Loud Township; the deputy spoke with the subject and had them leave the property.

7:47 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.

June 7

1:42 a.m. A deputy performed a traffic stop in Loud Township; after speaking with the subject the deputy found that they were picking up a dog. The deputy placed the dog in Elk Country Animal Shelter.

12:24 p.m. Albert Township Fire Department responded to a small brush fire that had gotten out of control, the fire department was able to gain control and put the fire out.

11:24 p.m. Deputies responded to a dispute in Albert Township; on arrival the deputies found it to be two family members having a disagreement in the road and had separated for the night.

June 8

4:16 a.m. A deputy responded to an alarm at an Albert Township business, upon arrival the deputy searched the property and found the business to be secure.

5:30 p.m. Dispatch received reports of thick smoke in the air in Briley Township; Tri-Township Fire Department responded and found a resident having a small fire. The fire department advised them of the no burn and had the homeowner put the fire out.
