Kayla Leigh Paczkowski and Daniel David Matash exchanged their wedding vows Nov. 8, 2014, at Community of Christ Church in Lachine. Kendall Sumerix performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James Jr. (Kim) Paczkowski and Michelle (Paul) Andreski. She is the granddaughter of James Sr. (Pat) Paczkowski and Barb and the late Harold Bates. Daniel is the son of David and Kathy Matash. He is the grandson of Dolores and (the late) Edward Matash and Geraldine and the late Robert Foor.
Attending the bride as maids of honor were her sisters, Jaime and Brooke Paczkowski. Bridesmaids were Sarah Matash, sister of the groom; Leah Cox, Rachel Garant, Kelsey Kannowski, honor attendant Morgan Plume, all friends of the bride; and junior bridesmaid Emilee Modrzejewski, cousin of the bride.
Attending the groom as best man was his friend, Eric Kennedy. Groomsmen were Mike Matash, brother of the groom; Jarret Krajniak, Travis Bussell, Mike Grundner, Derek Hoffman, all friends of the groom; and junior groomsmen Joshua Dyar, nephew of the groom. Serving as ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Evan Dyar. Ushers included Bradyn Bates, cousin of the bride, and Travis Zingery, friend of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at St. Anne Parish Hall.
Kayla and Daniel are 2008 graduates of Alpena High School and 2010 graduates of Alpena Community College. Kayla is a 2013 graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Grand Valley State University and will graduate in April 2015.
Daniel is a 2014 graduate of Central Michigan University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is employed by Gentex Corporation in Zeeland. They are residing in Allendale.
