Kerry Jo Hayka and Joel William Manning were united in marriage on Sept. 27, 2014, at Leer Lutheran Church in Posen. The Rev. Owen Williams officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.

Kerry is the daughter of Jerry and Diane Hayka of Lachine. Joel is the son of Bill (Tammy) Manning of Lachine and JoAnn (Bill) Simerson of Snover.

The maid of honor was Jodee Hayka of Baton Rouge, La., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Cara Standen, cousin of the groom; Ashley Marquardt, Raelene Werth, Mary Delling and Amanda Czewski, friends of the couple. Serving as flower girl was Adalyn Kidd, cousin of the groom.

The best man was Michael Simerson of Holland, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Seth Ellery and Michael Vaughn, brothers of the groom, and Andrew Filipiak, James Glazier and Tom Hunter, friends of the couple. Serving as ring bearer was Corbin Hunter. Ushers were Garrett Hurren, friend of the groom, and Ty Ross, cousin of the bride.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Alpena High School and the Alpena Hollywood School of Beauty. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Ubly High School. Both are employed by Neiman’s Family Market.

The couple honeymooned in the Upper Peninsula and reside in Posen.
