Smith/Dutcher

Allison Smith and Kyle Dutcher exchanged their wedding vows Sept. 15, 2012 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids. Robert Appold performed the double-ring afternoon ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Janet and Jerry Smith of Richmond. The groom is the son of Steve and Andrea Dutcher of Alpena, and the grandson of Norman and Shirley Dutcher, also of Alpena.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Amanda Kramer, a life-long friend and neighbor of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katherine Cramer, sister of the groom; Jen King, friend of the bride; and Kari Tutka, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Kylie Kramer, daughter of the maid of honor.

Attending the groom as best man was Nicholas Brousseau, cousin and best friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Jason Cramer, brother-in-law of the groom; Christopher Connolly, friend of the groom; and Patrick Tutka, cousin of the bride. Geoffrey Brousseau and Spence Werner, both cousins, served as ushers. Readings were given by Stacy Brousseau, cousin of the groom, and Barb Rocker, aunt of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents in downtown Grand Rapids.

Allison graduated from Ferris State University in 2006 as a registered dental assistant and from Macomb College in 2012 as a registered nurse. She is employed by Sanctuary at the Shore Care Home in Grand Haven. Kyle earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Ferris State University. He is employed at Johnson Controls in Holland.

The couple traveled to the East Coast, New York and Washington, D.C. for their honeymoon. They are residing in Rockford.
