The HPC Credit Union has helped support a pair of critical local charities that are fighting to overcome a recent fire.

On Friday, HPC announced it has made a cash donation to help the Friendship Room and Alpena Baby Pantry recover from the blaze.

“At HPC Credit Union, we believe in supporting our community when it needs it most. After the recent fire that impacted The Center of Charities/Friendship Room and Alpena Baby Pantry, we are proud to donate a total of $20,000 to help these incredible organizations get back on their feet.”

The credit union said in a press release that both groups play a vital role in caring for local families, and it is honored to stand beside them as they rebuild and continue their mission of helping others.
