Harvard Psychiatrist and Best-Selling Author, John J. Ratey, MD, shares how Alcona County is the ideal place to work on keeping your brain young, and what we can all be doing to boost our emotional and cognitive health. ∫ Participate in a motorcycle Poker Run to benefit local libraries! This is a charitable ride where motorcyclists follow a designated route, making stops at select libraries to draw playing cards. After the ride, participants gather to reveal their poker hands, compete for a prize for the best hand, and celebrate the cause. Riders will depart from the Oscoda County District Library (430 W 8th Street, Mio) at 9:30 a.m. or from the East Tawas Library (760 Newman Street, East Tawas) at 10:30 a.m. The cost to play will be $25.
