Krista Lang and Brandon Simmer have announced their engagement.

Lang, of Lansing, is the daughter of Dr. Robert and Mary Lang of Alpena, Mich.

Lang is a 2007 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2011 graduate of Ferris State University.

She is employed at the Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Center as a licensed veterinary technician in the Oncology Department.

Simmer, of Lansing, is the son of Pat Simmer and Geannine Simmer of DeWitt, Mich.

Simmer is a 2005 graduate of DeWitt High School and a 2009 graduate of Michigan State University.

He is employed by the State of Michigan as a financial specialist.

The couple plans to be married July 13, 2019 in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
